Just one month for love is not enough. I must say that we should live in love all year round.
There is a letter that Albert Einstein supposedly sent to his daughter, in which he states that love is the most powerful force in the universe. In this letter he stated “Love is gravity, because it makes some people feel attracted to others. Love is power, because it multiplies the best we have, and allows humanity not to become extinct in its blind selfishness. Love reveals and unveils. For love you live and die. Love is God, and God is love”, and ends the letter saying “When we learn to give and receive this universal energy, dear Lieserl, we will see that love overcomes everything, transcends everything and can do everything, because love is the quintessence of life.”
And when i think of Love, i see it is in our lives in many forms, starting with self-love, we must, each of us, recognize our self-worth and not ignore our personal needs and take responsibility for our own well-being. Loving yourself is crucial to your well-being. And this becomes important today because of the moment the world is going through, where people should become more aware of taking care of their health, what they eat, and specially mental health.
Another type of love is familiar love, which is the love between parents and their children. Normally, this is a bond that can never be broken, despite the passing of time, or the distance between. I still refer to my youngest child as my baby, even though he is now nearly 40! Similarly, I still have great love and respect for my parents, although they are both deceased.
When referring to love as the most powerful force, there are records of hysterical strength, where a mother’s love is so strong that she performs an act beyond her normal ability, in order to save her child.
Friendship is a beautiful type of love, selfless, non-romantic, non-family related, actually i could say that friendship is “chosen family” type, because we decide and choose to love someone who’s not from our family but we care as if they were. Social media assists in maintaining and re-initiating this type of friendship love, as contact can be maintained wherever in the world you may be.
Love for what we do. I think it is very fortunate when someone can say they “love” their job or profession. I can truly say that I am now in that position.
And last but not least, romantic love. I consider myself very fortunate, I have found my soulmate, and he is very romantic too. We don’t need Valentine’s Day to declare our love, for we say it to each other every day, and our house is full of love.
