I’ve been reviewing my digital scrapbooking pages on Flickr and have some more photo ideas to help you build interesting pages.
LEFT – Signs. Take pictures of signs around your town or at vacation destinations – choose funny ones or meaningful ones or informational ones. The one on the upper left of this page is from a museum we visited and it was my kids’ idea to pose like they were holding the sign up. RIGHT – Favorites. This page is about favorite books but you could do movies or music or almost anything. Some day we will probably say “Oh yeah, I remember those books!”
LEFT – School pictures. In our schools, we have the option of buying the kids school pictures on a CD for easy scrapping without copyright issues. Using school pictures on a page is a great starting point for education-related journaling. RIGHT – Shopping. These photos were taken during a shopping trip for my daughter’s college wardrobe but it turned into a little bit of craziness. If school shopping is an annual event, why not scrap it?
LEFT – School projects. With six kids, it’s impossible to keep every 3D school project that comes home. We photograph the favorites so we can “remember it forever” and then (gasp) throw them out so they don’t overrun the house. RIGHT – Food preferences. Does someone in your family like slightly odd foods? Our youngest used to have a thing for peanut butter and turkey sandwiches so she got a special page about that.
How about you? Do you have pages similar to any of these or have you been inspired to capture some photos based on these ideas? Leave me a comment below!
